Terms of Service

By creating an account on lowkey, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully. If you don't agree, don't use lowkey.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use lowkey. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 or older. If we discover that a user is under 18, their account will be immediately and permanently deleted.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for your account and everything that happens under it. Keep your password secure. You may not share your account with anyone else or create accounts on behalf of others.
You may only have one active account. Creating multiple accounts — including to circumvent a ban or get a second free trial — is a violation of these terms and will result in permanent removal from the platform.
3. Beta Period
During the beta period, lowkey is provided free of charge for 2 months from the date of signup. Beta access is granted to help us test and improve the platform. Features may change, and we may limit access or shut down the beta at any time with reasonable notice.
Phone verification is not required during beta. When lowkey officially launches, phone verification will be required for all accounts.
4. Subscriptions & Billing
After your beta or free trial period ends, continued access to lowkey requires a paid subscription at $4.99/month or $49.99/year.
- Subscriptions are billed in advance and auto-renew unless cancelled
- You can cancel anytime — your access continues until the end of your current billing period
- We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods
- If your payment fails, your account will be suspended until payment is resolved
5. Community Guidelines
lowkey is a community built on respect. The following are strictly prohibited:
- Harassment, threats, or abusive behavior toward other users
- Posting explicit sexual content in your public profile photos
- Impersonating another person or creating a fake profile
- Soliciting money or running scams of any kind
- Sharing another user's private content without their consent
- Using lowkey for any illegal purpose
- Attempting to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the platform
Violations may result in a warning, suspension, or permanent ban at our sole discretion. Banned users are not eligible for refunds.
6. Content You Post
You own the content you post on lowkey. By posting it, you grant us a limited license to display it to other users as part of operating the service. We do not claim ownership of your photos or messages and do not use them for any purpose outside of delivering the service.
You are solely responsible for the content you post. Do not post content that violates anyone's privacy, infringes on intellectual property, or violates any law.
7. Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings. Deletion is permanent — your profile, photos, and messages cannot be recovered after deletion.
If your trial or subscription expires and you do not renew within 7 days, your account will be automatically and permanently deleted. You will receive an email warning 24 hours before this happens.
8. Termination by lowkey
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms, without notice in cases of serious violations. We are not required to provide a reason for termination in cases involving safety or fraud.
9. Disclaimers
lowkey is provided "as is." We make no guarantees about uptime, availability, or the behavior of other users. We are not responsible for any harm resulting from your interactions with other users on the platform.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, lowkey's liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of lowkey after that date means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
